Sergio Arroyo

President,  Ascendant Technologies, Inc.

Sergio Arroyo has over 17 years technical experience that he gained from working for Silicon Valley for companies such as NBC and American Express; and varied IT and consulting projects for large privately held conglomerates in the Philippines and the US.

Previous to that, he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from De La Salle University and became the youngest licensed trader of the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE). He continued on as a financial analyst and portfolio manager before he moved on to take up post graduate studies at University of California at Berkeley.

Currently, Serge is the President of Ascendant Technologies Inc., a software development company dedicated in providing comprehensive and high quality information systems business solutions for medium sized industries, primarily in the field of healthcare digital systems management.

 

Mikko Barranda

Co-Founder, Acceler8

Mikko Barranda is the co-founder of Acceler8, a hybrid workspace that offers virtual office plans, private offices, marketing room plans and event space.

He is also a licensed real-estate broker who has helped many multinational companies and BPO's find suitable offices nationwide. He is part of Leechiu Property Consultants (LPC), a real estate service firm specializing in office leasing and land acquisition.

Currently, Mikko serves as the Chairman of the Urban Land Institute of the Philippines-Young Leaders Group (ULI-YLG), which is a non-profit research and education organization with 30,000 members nationwide. 

Mikko obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Communications from the Ateneo De Manila University.

 

 

Thomas Laughlin  

Entrepreneur, Data Scientist, Developer

Thomas Laughlin is an American developer, economist, community builder, and entrepreneur.

He is the founder of the tech firm Bathala Associates which specializes in software, data, and security for the financial, education, multimedia, and public sectors. By night, he leads Amagi Academy, an IT training school to develop modern skills in software, data science, law, and business skills for individuals and corporations.

Thomas is also a founder of the largest and most active developer communities in the country, including Manila JavaScript, BackEnd/DevOps PH, and Next Money MNL.

 

 

Rey Lugtu

 

President, The Engage Philippines I President, Hungry Workhorse I Co-Founder and Counselor, Caucus Inc.

Reynaldo “Rey” Lugtu is a veteran business executive and entrepreneur, a sought-after public speaker and trainer, an accomplished educator and business columnist.  

He is the President of The Engage, a regional digital customer solutions firm, President of Hungry Workhorse, a training and human capital firm, and Co-Founder and Counselor of Caucus Inc, a data privacy and business advisory firm. He is also the chairman, independent director, co-founder and adviser of several startup and tech companies.

He is the Chairman of the SME Market Development of the Foundation of Filipino Entrepreneurs Inc (FFEI), Chairman of ICT Committee of the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX), Vice Chairman of ICT Committee of the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP), and member of the Makati Business Club and Philippine Chamber of Commerce.

He is a Professorial Lecturer in the MBA program of De La Salle University where he has been teaching for 15 years, and currently teaches Strategic Management. He is likewise an Adjunct Faculty of the Asian Institute of Management.

He is a business columnist and writer for Manila Times, Manila Bulletin, Business World, The Standard.

He earned his MBA from DLSU where he is also finishing his doctorate. He finished courses in business from INSEAD-Wharton University of Pennsylvania, China Europe International Business School, and Helsinki School of Economics.

 

Dan Meyer 

President & Founder, Decision-Making Analytics Intelligence Philippines (DMAIPH) 

Dan Meyer is President and Founder of DMAIPH, an analytics, consulting, training and outsourcing company with offices in Manila and the San Francisco Bay Area.

He is one of the top analytics experts in the Philippines. With a team of over 40 analysts, DMAIPH provides a variety of analytics solutions to companies in the US and Asia. Dan is also one of the most sought after public speakers in the country and has personally trained thousands of Filipinos in various analytics functions. He is the author of the analytics guidebook, "Putting Your Data to Work," that is designed to provide organizations with a solid foundation in using analytics to empower more data-driven decisions.

Prior to DMAIPH, Dan worked as a Senior Analytics Consultant at Wells Fargo for 15 years, and five years of teaching college after attaining his Master's Degree in Education, focusing in Student Affairs in Higher Education at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He completed his Bachelor's Degree in History, Minor in International Studies at the Sonoma State University.

 

Myla Rose Reyes

Vice President, SPi Healthcare, Inc. 

Myla Reyes is currently the Vice President of SPi Healthcare, Inc.  She has over 20 years of experience in supporting and building back-office healthcare solutions in the Philippines involving strategic implementation, operations management and business development. 

Myla is one of the founding members of the first and only recognized healthcare association in the Philippines from its inception as Medical Transcription Industry Association of the Philippines, Inc. (MTIAPI), up to its recent transformation as Healthcare Information Management Association of the Philippines (HIMAP).  Through Myla’s leadership and active industry participation, the Philippines has become the leading destination for diversified outsourced healthcare solutions, increasing work generation from 4,000 FTEs in 2004 to 87,000 FTEs in 2014 with a revenue equivalent to $1.3B. 

Myla earned her BS Nursing degree and units in Masters of Arts in Nursing from Pamantasan Ng Lungsod Ng Maynila.

 

 

Reggie Vallente 

CEO and Lead Management Consultant, Novostorm Technologies, Inc.  

Reggie Vallente is a Business Economics graduate from the University of the Philippines - Diliman. He is currently the CEO and Lead Management Consultant of Novostorm Technologies, Inc., a provider of healthcare technology solutions currently focused on patient flow management and improvement through Lean Six Sigma and Data Analytics. He founded Novostorm to make a positive difference in the healthcare space, starting with the Philippine setting.

As a Lean Six Sigma Master Blackbelt, his expertise is on continuous improvement, data analytics, change management, training, coaching, and service delivery governance. He also brings tons of leadership experience as he took up critical roles in various high-profile companies.

He was previously a Senior Director for Organizational Excellence at Sutherland Global Service, Transformation Director of Excelion Technologies, Inc. Process Excellence Leader at AP-Moller Maersk, Continuous Improvement Senior Manager for Shell, Quality Leader for General Electric, and Operations Manager for BPI. Reggie is a Man-on-a-Mission, helping local companies adopt global best practices in continuous improvement, data analytics, and service delivery.
